I was privileged to coach one of the 8th grade football teams for American Fork this year. It was a lot of fun and we did some good things. A lot of new boys. Many of them played for their first time. Of course it was fun to have 2 of my sons on the team. Brigg (#9) and Spencer (#13) did a great job.
Pass Canyon, Utah – Near Fool Creek Flats. This past weekend me and my boys went on little adventure. When I was 17 my best friend, cousin and cousins friend went adventuring. We discovered some old mines in Pass Canyon. 35 years later I ventured out with my 17, 13, and 12 year old boys and we visited the same mines.
So I just complete building my 3rd sons’ second pinewood derby. This makes a total of 6 we have built as a family. After watching YouTube “how to” videos we (I) determined that this is the one we would pattern our strategy after. Easy Pinewood Derby We followed it pretty closely. Spencer polished the nails with the help of our Dremo tool. He painted the car. I drilled a hole in the back for weights. We were short a couple of OZ.s day of the race so we glued them on top of the car. We didn’t worry about streamlining the car at all. According to the video this factors…
Today is the temple dedication for the new Provo City Center Temple. We attended the dedication as a family. It was interesting to see how badly damaged the building was then to have it made into a beautiful temple. Amazing. Sometimes the Lord refines things in his fire. Out of the ashes comes a new even better purpose. Provo City Center Temple

Recently, Apple offered a free U2 album online. Cool right? I thought so. Anyways, Apple said it was in your purchase list… nothing. Nothing I did would make it show up? Changed iTunes preferences (per Apple support forums)… no luck. Finally, I followed the link at the bottom of the page in iTunes and it showed up! It takes you here and now you see the album and it is downloadable! Not as easy as Apple made it sound.
Book of Mormon Increases Faith Video for our Sunday School class while we are talking about the Book of Mormon.
Mentioned by Mormon in a letter to his son Moroni (Moroni 9:2). It would appear that he was a commander in Mormon’s army. He was a Nephite soldier that was one of several ‘choice men’ to be slain by the Lamanites. Etymology Possibly derived from HEBREW ʾāmar “to speak.” If so, it may be a short-form (hypocoristicon) with the common Semitic ending on PNs and GNs -ōn for “Word (of God); (God) has spoken, commanded”. Cf. biblical HEBREW ʾimrô “his command” (Job 20:29), and possibly forming the HEBREW PNs Omri and Imri (1 Chronicles 9:4).
